Code of Conduct
Last updated: 19 Aug 2025
Sparkdate brings people together for respectful, consent-led encounters. This Code of Conduct keeps our events welcoming for women, femmes, LGBTQIA+ guests, and every person who joins us in good faith.
Our principles
- Respect boundaries. Ask before touching, stay mindful of body language, and accept a "no" immediately.
- Listen generously. Give each date your full attention without interrupting, interrogating, or dominating the conversation.
- Embrace diversity. Sparkdate is inclusive by design. Discrimination or harassment based on gender, sexuality, race, religion, disability, or appearance has no place here.
- Keep it private. Treat stories, identities, and contact details shared in the room as confidential.
Behaviour we will not tolerate
- Harassment, stalking, unwanted touching, or coercive behaviour.
- Transphobic, misogynistic, racist, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory remarks.
- Pressuring someone to drink, to share personal information, or to continue a connection after a "no".
- Recording, photographing, or live-posting about other guests without consent.
If something happens
Talk to any Sparkdate host immediately or email hello@sparkdate.love. Hosts will listen, help you move to a safe space, and take action—including speaking to the other person, issuing warnings, or removing them from the event.
Consequences
We may remove someone from the venue, cancel matches, or bar future attendance if they violate this Code. Severe incidents can be escalated to local authorities. Refunds are not guaranteed for anyone removed due to misconduct.
Scope
This Code applies to all Sparkdate activities—online, at the venue, before and after official rounds, and in any follow-up chats facilitated by us. By attending, you agree to uphold these standards.
