This Privacy Policy explains how we ("Sparkdate", an early-stage pre‑incorporation project) process personal data when you visit this website and when you interact with us (e.g. by joining the waitlist). We aim to collect and process only the minimum data necessary.

2. Overview of Data We Process

  • Technical access data (server logs)
  • Waitlist subscription data (email address, unsubscribe token, timestamps)
  • Voluntary communication data (contents of inquiries)
  • Google Ads conversion measurement data (when active)

3. Details by Processing Activity

3.1 Website access (server logs)

Data: IP address, date/time, URL, referrer, user-agent, HTTP status, bytes transferred.
Purpose: Technical delivery, stability, security.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
Retention: 14–30 days then deletion/anonymisation.

3.2 Waitlist / launch notifications

Data: Email, opt‑in time, token, minimal metadata.
Purpose: Updates & curated invitations.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
Retention: Until unsubscribe or purpose ends.

3.3 Direct communication

Data: Email content & address.
Purpose: Handling inquiries.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) / 6(1)(b) pre‑contractual.
Retention: Until resolved (regular clean‑up).

4. Analytics / Tracking

We use Google Ads conversion tracking (gtag.js) to measure campaign performance. Where legally required, this runs only with prior consent.

5. Cookies / Local Storage

We use strictly necessary technical storage and, when Google Ads tracking is active, ad-measurement cookies/signals for conversion attribution.

6. Recipients / Processors

Access limited to founders and EU/EEA (or adequately safeguarded) infrastructure providers under data processing terms. Disclosure to authorities only if legally required.

7. Third-Country Transfers

Some processing may involve third countries (e.g. Google services in the US). Where this applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Retention & Deletion

Data retained only for stated purposes then deleted or anonymised, subject to statutory duties. Earlier deletion available where lawful bases permit.

9. Security

Measures include HTTPS, minimal collection, access restriction and periodic review. No method offers absolute security.
